Still reeling from the emotional death on Person of Interest?
CBS has released a featurette following the filming of Det. Carter's death by HR on Tuesday's episode, "The Crossing." Her death, by corrupt cop Patrick Simmons' hand, took a toll on all involved because it marked the last time series regular Taraji P. Henson would be with them.
"When I read the episode, I cried," Jim Caviezel admitted. "It's going to be hard. There is a special relationship between all of us. She had a way about her that put me at ease, made me smile."
Footage from the next episode, airing Nov. 26, showing the aftermath of Carter's unexpected death and her funeral were also included in the featurette.
"In the wake of Carter's death, I just hope that the rest of the characters continue to carry on her legacy, continue to fight for justice for all by any means necessary," Henson said. "Carter is gone, but never forgotten."
Will there be a chance Henson may return to Person of Interest, perhaps in flashbacks?
"It's been a pleasure to work with Taraji, and selfishly we are going to insist that she come back and hang out with us again," executive producer Jonathan Nolan told The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. "We'll be itching to get Taraji back into an episode of our show just as soon as we can."
