'Portlandia' Announces Return Date With New Short (Video)
The IFC series' third season will bow in January after the December special, "Winter in Portlandia."
With an estimated population of 593,820, there are still plenty more denizens of Portland for Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein to lovingly mock.
They'll start up again Jan. 4, when Portlandia kicks off its third season on IFC with back-to-back episodes. The 10-episode run will continue on Friday nights, airing at 10 p.m. EST. Ahead of the return, the series is baiting fans with a new skit released Thursday and a holiday special of sorts, Winter in Portlandia, which will premiere Dec. 14 at 10:30 p.m.
The first clip, "Meditation Crush," finds the duo staring at each other from across a yoga studio, having two very different inner monologues.
As previously announced, the new season of Portlandia will include a slew of returning guests, including Kyle MacLachlan as the mayor of Portland, and the introduction of Chloë Sevigny as Fred and Carrie’s new roommate.
