President Barack Obama made an appearance on the series finale of American Idol on Thursday, imploring the people to register to vote.

"Not all of us can sing like Kelly Clarkson, but all of our voices matter," he said.

He added that Idol's legacy includes the audience who voted. "You participated in [Idol's] success. The same is true of America," he said.
