Fox will pay tribute to Prince next week, replaying the late icon's 2014 episode of New Girl on Tuesday.

The episode, appropriately titled "Prince," originally ran after the Super Bowl. It marked the second time producers tried to woo the singer, who was a fan of the show, onto the comedy. In the episode, he had heart-to-hearts with leads Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson, performed the track "FALLINLOVE2NITE" with Deschanel and slayed at ping-pong.

"Prince is fantastic at ping-pong, like maybe one of the best I've ever seen," New Girl creator Liz Meriwether told The Hollywood Reporter at the time, "which is amazing because I kind of think you can only be really good at one thing  but you can be really good at a lot of things if you're Prince."

New Girl producers were among the many eulogizing Prince after his sudden death on Thursday, releasing the following statement: "We are all so deeply saddened to hear about the passing of this hero of ours  and so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet him and to have him on our show. It's something we will remember forever. Our thoughts go out to his family. We are among the millions of people who will truly miss the brilliant artist."

"Prince" will air again on Tuesday, April 26, at 9:30 p.m. — in lieu of a previously scheduled Grinder repeat. (New Girl airs two back-to-back original episodes earlier in the night, at 8 p.m.) And it's not Prince's only acting gig to get some prominent recirculation. His Purple Rain will return to 87 AMC theaters over the weekend.
