'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills': Keep your Friend's Friends Close
Brandi Glanville debuts and the women wonder who's a friend and who's a foe.
It was six degrees of bitchy on Monday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as the women wondered who were friends and who were foes.
Adrienne Maloof went against her security detail’s advice and attended the season’s last basketball game for her family’s team, the Sacramento Kings. But, the city that usually welcomes the Maloofs with open arms didn’t take kindly to Adrienne that evening. There was a very good chance that the family was going to move its team to another city with a better stadium and the fans weren’t happy about it. As her guest, Kim Richards wasn’t much help as she seemed clueless about the danger at some points and heard imaginary gunshots at other points.
In the end, Adrienne followed her gut. And while there were a few rowdy protestors, everything turned out fine. In case you’re wondering, the family ended up staying in Sacramento rather than move the team to Anaheim – at least for one more season.
Taylor Armstrong suspects someone has leaked information on her marriage to the press and she has decided the likely candidate is Lisa Vanderpump. Apparently, the person who blabbed had a special fascination with Taylor’s weight loss. And the only woman who can’t seem to get over Taylor’s skinny arms is Lisa.
The top moment of the hour was when Taylor sought out the advice of
old-as-dust experienced Hollywood publicist Elliot Mintz who slurred some advice about going to the head of the rattle snake and not having sex with his intern or something. Taylor stared at him blankly without a clue of what he was talking about.
Adrienne’s friend, Brandi Glanville, this season’s unofficial new housewife, hobbles through the doors of a charity event Kyle Richards was throwing. She was on crutches, one foot in a cast, and the other in a stiletto shoe. Lisa quickly descended on the crippled thing, having realized she’s friends with her now estranged gay houseboy, Cedric. Brandi figured out the situation quickly and told Lisa that Cedric has never said a bad word about her. We highly doubt that, but Brandi is trying to get out of this event with her one good foot intact.
Meanwhile, Kyle is holding court in a corner and she’s judging. Glanville is best known (or as Kyle puts it, her “claim to fame”) for losing a battle with country singer LeAnn Rimes for her now ex-husband, actor Eddie Cibrian. We’ve never seen women cackle so hard. We can’t wait to see what drama Brandi creates once she can stand on both feet.
