Former actress Kyle Richards is apparently making sure her second chance at fame as one of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members isn’t wasted.

She recently released a book, Life Is Not a Reality Show: Keeping It Real With the Housewife Who Does It All, published by HarperOne. And now, she says she’s branching out into scripted television.

“I just sold a pilot, a half-hour sitcom,” she tells the Associated Press. “I can't say which network, but it's about my life. It's basically my life being a juggling mom, wife and being on a reality show.”

Richards has made herself a standout member of the new Real Housewives franchise with her love-hate relationship with her sister, Kim Richards (also a former actress), and catfights with Camille Grammer in Season 1, and former model Brandi Glanville in Season 2. At the same time, she’s quite dedicated to her marriage of 17 years and to mothering her four children.

As far as the newly sold pilot, Richards doesn’t say whether she’ll play herself. But, she does describe the kind of actress she’d like to see in the show.

“I would want it to be somebody that's really funny and could capture the humor of being a mom and all the humor that comes with being on a reality show,” she describes. “So, maybe Jennifer Aniston or Jenny McCarthy. I don't know, someone really funny.”

While some of the housewives have guest starred in sitcoms -- including Kyle's former frenemy Camille, who appeared last year on CBS' $#*! My Dad Says -- this would be the first time one of them would have sold one about themselves and could conceivably star in it, too.
