'Real Housewives of New Jersey's' Jacqueline Laurita Responds to Quitting Rumors
The housewife reiterates that she hasn't left the Bravo reality series as speculation of her rumored departure returns.
The rumors that cast changes are in store for Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey have been floating around since before Season 3 even finished airing. And it didn’t help when cast member Jacqueline Laurita was a no-show to the reunion special.
Now, the rumors of Jacqueline quitting (or even being fired) are coming up again and part of that may have been caused by something ousted New York City housewife Jill Zarin told The Hollywood Reporter in our current issue.
Zarin decided to weigh in on the interpersonal dramas coming out of the Jersey franchise and why the cable network decided to shoot Season 4 while the third season was still airing.
“They had to. Bravo had no delusions that they set up Teresa [Giudice] by hiring her sister-in-law and cousin without letting her know,” Zarin says. “It's understandable Teresa would be upset. The show couldn't film now: Teresa and Caroline [Manzo] won't even be in the same room, and Jacqueline quit. As a cast, they're kaput.”
Well, Jacqueline felt she needed to set the record straight again on Wednesday via Twitter. “FACT! No, I have not quit the show and no, I have not been fired,” she writes. “Season 5 is a mystery. Guess u will just have to ....Watch What Happens! XO!”
Also, a Bravo spokesperson tells THR that Season 4 just wrapped on shooting and confirms the entire cast was back for it. As far as Season 5, the rep says it’s too early to comment on renewal and casting.
