ABC's Unit Zero is adding a dose of laughs.

Rob Huebel has joined the cast of the network's Toni Collette dramedy pilot Unit Zero, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The action-dramedy follows Jackie Fink (Collette), a brilliant but unassuming CIA engineer and single mom as she leads a team of desk jockeys into the field as secret agents. Overlooked in the workplace, their invisibility makes them perfect for the CIA’s most covert missions.

Childrens Hospital alum Huebel will take on the role of Phineas Bog, a CIA computer genius with an offbeat and unconventional manner. He manages to keep a lid on his feelings (huge crush) on Jackie (Collette) long enough to head the CIA’s Cyber Security (even though everyone views him as just the IT guy). Sweet and soft-hearted, Phineas is sharp as a tack and quite possibly the smartest guy in the room. Huebel joins a cast that also includes Kimberly Hebert Gregory.

Black-ish's Lindsey Shockley will pen the script and executive produce the hourlong pilot, which reteams her with the ABC comedy's showrunner Kenya Barris. Collette also exec produces alongside David Gordon Green, with the latter set to direct the ABC Studios pilot.

Huebel's credits include Amazon's Transparent, Fox's Bob's Burgers and episodes of The Goldbergs, Blunt Talk and Hawaii Five-0. He is repped by UTA, Principato-Young and Jackoway Tyerman. He next appears in Baywatch and The House.
