Sarah Jones Heads from 'Alcatraz' to 'Vegas'
The actress will join the upcoming CBS drama as a new series regular.
Sarah Jones has booked a ticket to Vegas.
The actress, who played a detective on Fox's short-lived Alcatraz, has joined CBS' upcoming gunslinger drama as a series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Set in the 1960s, Vegas is based on the true story of rodeo-cowboy-turned-Las-Vegas-sheriff named Ralph Lamb (played by Dennis Quaid) who ran law enforcement in the city from 1961-1979. Michael Chiklis plays the fictional Chicago gangster Vincent Savino, who arrives at the beginning of the pilot with a mandate from the mob to improve its take from the city's many legal and illegal vices.

Jones will play the smart daughter of one of Chicago's most powerful men who is employed at a casino and runs a scam designed to funnel cash back to Chicago.
The actress, repped by Michael Greene & Associates and Management 360, was killed off in what wound up being the series finale of Alcatraz, though had the series been renewed would have likely been resurrected on the procedural with a magical twist from J.J. Abrams.
Her credits also include Sons of Anarchy, Justified and House. She joins a cast that also includes Carrie-Anne Moss and Jason O'Mara.
Vegas premieres Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
