'Saturday Night Live' Lines Up Christina Applegate and Bruno Mars to Host

The "Up All Night" star returns to the NBC series after a nearly 20-year break, while the singer has previously only appeared as a musical guest.

NBC has set the hosts for the rest of October.

The network announced Monday that Christina Applegate will guest on the production on Oct. 13. It will mark the comedian and actress' first hosting gig on the show since 1993. Passion Pit will join the Up All Night star as musical guest.

Oct. 20 sees Bruno Mars joining the broadcast for double duty. The singer-songwriter will serve as host and musical guest, following in the footsteps of SNL renaissance men Mick Jagger and Justin Timberlake.

Current 007 star Daniel Craig will host this coming Saturday alongside musical guest Muse.
