ABC is looking to The Simpsons duo Mike and Julie Scully for its next family comedy.

The network has picked up a script from the married couple called Raising Adults, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The multicamera comedy, based on a spec script that the duo wrote, centers on a married couple who, over the course of 20 years of parenting three children, have gone from saying, "They grow up so fast," to wondering, "Will they ever grow up?" It's loosely based on the Scullys' experiences guiding their five adult kids toward independence, "a job with no current end in sight."

Mike Scully, an executive producer on The Simpsons, and Julie Scully, a former writer-producer on the Fox animated comedy whose credits include Dads, will pen the script and executive-produce the comedy. Raising Adults hails from 20th Century Fox Television, where Mike Scully has had an overall deal for years.

This marks the second sale of the season for the couple, who are also teaming with Fox for a single-camera comedy based on the Spanish series Los Serrano.

Both are repped by UTA.
