'Smash' Preview: Katharine McPhee is 'Beautiful'
NBC has released the first full-length video from its upcoming musical drama.
NBC is feeling "Beautiful."
The network on Monday released the first full-length music video from its upcoming musical drama Smash, featuring lead -- and former American Idol contestant -- Katharine McPhee covering Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful."
The story of the staging of a Broadway play about Marilyn Monroe, McPhee will perform the song during her audition in the series premiere.

Debra Messing, Megan Hilty, Christian Borle, Jack Davenport, Anjelica Huston, Brian D'Arcy James, Jaime Ceperoand Raza Jaffrey round out the cast, with guest stars including Nick Jonas and Bernadette Peters already lined up.
NBC's midseason drama, which counts Steven Spielberg among its executive producers, premieres Monday, Feb. 6 at 10 p.m. following The Voice on NBC.
