Snooki's Life After MTV (Video)
The reality star and mommy-to-be tells THR about her forthcoming line of beauty products and book ideas.
Hard to believe one MTV casting call led to all this.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi went from hard-partying student (she went to college to be a vet tech) to television star, pop culture icon, best-selling author and now, mother-to-be, all from the surprise success of MTV’s Jersey Shore.
Having just wrapped Jersey Shore’s sixth season and currently on the air with her spinoff series Snooki & JWOWW, Snooks stopped by The Hollywood Reporter to talk about what she’s working on next -- including her pregnancy.
“I’m coming out with my second perfume in November, I’m really excited about that,” she says. “I have nail polish and nail stickers coming out.”
Following up on her previous fictional releases, A Shore Thing and Gorilla Beach, Snooki now hopes to dip a toe into the children’s literary world, using her trusted stuffed crocodile, Crocadilly, as inspiration.
“I’d love to do a children’s book about Crocadilly, since I’m having a kid,” she says. “I would also like to write a book like Jenny McCarthy did about being pregnant and telling it how it is, but in a Snooki-ism kind of way.”
Snooki is due to give birth to her first child with fiancé Jionni LaValle, a boy to be named Lorenzo, this September, but pregnancy has not slowed the pint-sized reality star down. Since discovering her pregnancy earlier this year, Snooki negotiated a splashy US Weekly cover announcement, filmed two reality shows and continued to work on her growing empire.
“I have a lot going on,” she admits. “Just cause I’m pregnant doesn't mean I’m gonna stop, I’ll just do it from a computer on the couch. “
Snooki & JWOWW airs Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
