'Sons of Anarchy': Danny Trejo Joins on for Season 4 (Video)
The "Machete" star talks about playing a former military commando in FX’s biker drama.
Danny Trejo has built a career out of playing a badass. His role on FX’s biker drama will be no different, as he told The Hollywood Reporter.
Trejo joined the cast on the red carpet at an event in Hollywood to celebrate the upcoming premiere of Season 4 and the DVD release of Season 3 of Sons of Anarchy. He told THR that his character, Romero 'Romeo' Parada, a former commando for the Mexican military who becomes a new associate of the Sons, is just up his alley.
“You know it kind of culminates my career, badass, killer,” said the Machete star.
Trejo told THR it wasn’t hard for him to feel comfortable in this new role.
“I showed up and it’s a lot of fun,” he said. “Character’s got a lot of size to him, he’s a major player and he saves some lives. It’s going to be some great episodes.”
Sons of Anarchy stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Ron Perlman and Maggie Siff. This season, the sons of anarchy motorcycle club are returning from a jail sentence, and need to get the club back on its feet. However, the V.P. of the club, Jax Teller (Hunnam), is planning to leave the club as soon as his stepfather (Perlman) steps down as President.
