A new promo for Season 4 of Sons of Anarchy has hit the web.

In the 30-second clip, the motorcycle gang returns to Charming after leaving jail -- but already tension with police is revealed. One cop tries to veer a motorcyclist off the road in what looks like a chase. Another scene reveals a heated shoot-out.

The show premieres Sept. 6 at 10 p.m. on FX. It's the channel's highest-rated show ever.

Show creator Kurt Sutter spoke about the show being snubbed from the Emmys — and his outspoken Tweets on the subject -- at TCA.

“My tweets are more about my bad relationship with my father than they were about the actual Emmys,” he explained. “If any of you want to lay me down on a couch and talk about that I will gladly open up that can of worms -- and probably pay you.”
