Lucy Liu is joining TNT drama Southland for the fourth season.

The Charlie's Angels star, who has recurred on ABC's Dirty Sexy Money, Cashmere Mafia and Fox's Ally McBeal, will appear throughout the season as a member of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Season 4 of the police drama, starring Michael Cudlitz, Shawn Hatosy, Regina King and Ben McKenzie, is set to return in January 2012.

Southland, from John Wells, is created by Ann Biderman and executive produced by Christopher Chulack and Wells. Chulack serves as the primary director of the series. Andrew Stearn co-executive producer.
