The duo has inked a first-look overall deal with Warner Horizon Television for their Offspring Entertainment banner, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Under the two-year deal, the producers behind the Step Up franchise will develop new cable projects for the studio, which has a slew of series on the air including NBC's The Voice, ABC's Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises and ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars and The Lying Game, along with TNT's newly greenlighted docuseries Marshal Law: Texas.

Under the pact, the duo will be attached as executive producers, via their Offspring shingle, to any projects they develop, with Shankman having the option to direct. Offspring vp Matt Smith will help identify new ideas and writers.
Shankman, a judge on So You Think You Can Dance and Emmy nominee for his work on the 2010 Emmys and Oscars, has directed features including 2007's Hairspray reboot and The Wedding Planner as well as episodes of Glee and Modern Family. Shankman and Gibgot most recently produced the Top Cruise starrer Rock of Ages, with the former also directing.
Shankman and Gibgot are repped by UTA and Bloom Hergott.
