'Suburgatory' Borrows 'Cougar Town's' Dan Byrd for Guest Stint
The actor plays a cool high school student on the new ABC fall series.

While Cougar Town is set to return in January, fans will be able to see one of its stars earlier on ABC’s new fall series, Suburgatory.

A spokesperson from Warner Bros. Television, the studio behind the new comedy, confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that Dan Byrd will guest star on Episode 11, as first reported by TVLine.
Byrd’s guest role on Suburgatory steers a bit younger than the college student he plays on Cougar Town. He’ll play Josh Sherman, a new transfer student to the show’s Chatswin High School. Tessa (lead actress, Jane Levy) takes a liking to him, but Josh is hiding something.

Suburgatory follows a divorced father (played by Jeremy Sisto) who moves his daughter (Levy) from New York City to the suburbs for a better life. It premieres Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.
