'Suburgatory's' Jane Levy Teases Epic Battle With Dalia Over 'Prom's' Thomas McDonnell
A new guy enters the picture on Wednesday's episode and causes some major competition between the two girls.
The first half of ABC’s new comedy, Suburgatory, dealt a lot with the love life of eligible bachelor, George (Jeremy Sisto). But when the show returns Wednesday, things rev up for Tessa romantically when she gets her driver's license and guest star, Prom actor Thomas McDonnell, gets between her and frenemy, Dalia (Carly Chaikin).

“It starts in the next episode and you’ll see that there’s this fight that happens in ‘Driving Miss Dalia’ that will carry on for a lot more episodes,” Jane Levy, who plays Tessa, tells The Hollywood Reporter.
“There’s sort of a rivalry that gets sparked in one big episode that will last for… I don’t even know. I haven’t seen an ending to it yet. We’re on episode 17 or 18. It’s really fun to play. I love playing Tessa and Dalia as rivals.”
To be fair, it isn’t much of a mental match up. But, Tessa’s spoiled nemesis apparently has some tricks up her designer sleeve.

“This is probably cocky of me, but Dalia is so dumb,” the 22-year-old says. “But she does actually really get to Tessa. At some point, she tries to steal Lisa [Allie Grant] away from me and it drives me crazy. But we keep going back and forth trying to get at each other. But this is all over a boy, Scott Strauss [McDonnell], and Dalia can’t seem to get over it, because she really loves this guy who turns out to maybe like me.”
And if that doesn’t make you want to tune in to Wednesday’s episode, a partially clothed and awkward fight (which Alan Tudyk previously told THR about) also goes down in the episode when George crosses over into Noah’s territory at the local country club.
“It’s hilarious,” Levy explains. “Their fight scene is so good. Really, really good, get ready.”
Suburgatory airs Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. on ABC. For more on the show, visit its show page at ABC.com.
