Thanksgiving Week Fare: 'Biggest Loser' Reunion, 'Shark Attack'
NBC will air a "Where Are They Now" special, while Nat Geo Wild dips its toe in shark-infested waters.
NBC and Nat Geo Wild have set two-hour specials for the long Thanksgiving holiday.
Airing Wednesday, Nov. 23, BC will broadcast The Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now from 9-11 p.m. featuring former contestants and bloopers from the series featuring will its trainers as well as host Alison Sweeney.
Sweeney will host the special, which will be filmed before a live audience and include trainers Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova and Dolvett Quince offering their thoughts on current cycle of the series.
The special will also offer an update on Season 9 contestant Sam Poueu and offer an update on his condition following an accident in which he slipped and fell from a fourth-floor balcony.
Meanwhile, Nat Geo Wild will air Shark Attack Experiment Live on Friday, Nov. 25 from 9-11 p.m. following a nine-hour marathon of shark documentaries. The special will feature experts testing common shark attack myths while swimming freely among them.
The network's shark docu marathon will begin at noon with cut-ins each hour on the experiments featured on the special. Mark Thompson will host the special with Anna Gilligan from Rocky Bay, South Africa -- a region commonly referred to as "Shark Park."
Syfy also announced plans to air a James Bond marathon over the long holiday.
