It appears as if AMC's The Killing will be filling in some voids in Holder’s (Joel Kinnaman) back-story on Season 2.

Sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter that Marin Ireland has been cast as the shady homicide detective’s sister, as first reported by TV Line.
The potentially recurring role is described as “a tough, blue collar girl who won’t take you-know-what from her brother — or anybody for that matter.”
On Homeland, she played Aileen, the American who takes up new residence with husband, professor Raquim Faisel (Omid Abtahi). Anything more than that will be a spoiler for those of you who are catching up on the Showtime series.

Ireland has also appeared on Prime Suspect, A Gifted Man, and as Letty on the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce. Her film credits include I Am Legend, Revolutionary Road, and The Manchurian Candidate.
Ireland is repped by ICM and Brookside Artist Management.
The Killing returns Sunday, April 1 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
