TNT Sets 'Closer' Finale, 'Dallas' Debut, 'Falling Skies' Return and Other Summer Dates
The cable network's lineup includes four new series, including spin-off "Major Crimes."
TNT has firmed up its summer plans. The network announced premiere dates for nine original series, including four debuts and the final run of The Closer.
The last six episodes of Kyra Sedgwick's crime drama kick off on July 9 before taking a final bow on Aug. 13. Immediately following the series-ender, spin-off Major Crimes (starring Mary McDonnell) kicks off its freshman season.
Major Crimes isn't the only new entry on the schedule. The reboot of Dallas (June 13), reality competition The Great Escape (June 24) and Eric McCormack procedural Perception (July 9) also launch over the summer.
Returning series Rizzoli & Isles (June 5), Franklin & Bash (June 5) and Falling Skies (June 17) are among the first to premiere, with Leverage back on the schedule starting July 15.
