While Torchwood: Miracle Day picks up on three previous seasons of legacy for the Torchwood Institute, the new chapter premiering Friday on Starz at 10 p.m. presents viewers with a new incarnation.

In The Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive video below, creator Russell T. Davies, executive producer Julie Gardner and returning stars, John Barrowman as Capt. Jack Harkness and Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper, introduce us to the newest recruits to the Torchwood Institute.
In the first of several videos to be released by Starz, this featurette contains some fresh scenes from the upcoming season, so not only is it a good way to catch up on where we find the team on Miracle Day, but it’s a first look for many of the franchise’s fans.
Kai Owen reprises his role on the 10-episode series as Cooper’s husband, Rhys, with new cast members Bill Pullman, Mekhi Phifer, and Alexa Havins.
