'True Blood's' Kristin Bauer Guest Starring on ABC's 'Once Upon a Time'

True Blood fans will be happy to hear that that the actress who plays the series’ vamp with an attitude and killer style will be back on the small screen in Oct. on ABC’s upcoming fantasy series, Once Upon a Time.

An ABC spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that Kristin Bauer van Straten will guest star as the character of Maleficent. 

Not much is known about how the character will be portrayed on the fairy tale meets modern day series. Maleficent is best known as the evil witch from the Walt Disney film, Sleeping Beauty. She is adapted from the wicked fairy godmother of the original fairy tale.

From executive producers, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Lost, Tron: Legacy), Once Upon a Time follows cynical bail bondswoman, Emma Swan (House's Jennifer Morrison). She meets a young boy who insists that fairy tale characters actually exist and are living in the modern time. The series premieres on Oct. 23. Bauer, whose casting was first reported by NiceGirlsTV.com, appears on the second episode airing October 30.
