"I think this is going great. I'm tuning in Sunday night to watch you — I wasn't sure until now," Farrell told Vaughn, who responded, "Thank you, you as well!"

Jimmy Fallon surprised True Detective stars Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell with a new game of deception on Thursday's Tonight Show, in which one reads aloud a claim, and the other has a minute to interrogate and evaluate if the statement is true or false.

Though the actors of the HBO series didn't exactly know the premise of the game before getting started, Farrell is asked to defend that "when I was a late teen, I got brought in for questioning as a suspect in an attempted murder."

"I'm a little nervous to push too hard because we might have a guy who got away with murder — I want to play a fun game, but ... I have a feeling this really happened to him," admitted Vaughn, as the three of them debuted their best Robert Durst impressions.

Other claims of the game: "I got my head stuck in a fence, and my grandma used mayonnaise to squeeze me out" and "I once defiantly commanded the stage in the title role of Oscar Hammerstein's The King and I."

And after teaming up to interrogate Fallon, Farrell told Vaughn, "I think this is going great. I'm tuning in Sunday night to watch you — I wasn't sure until now." Vaughn responded, "Thank you, you as well!"
