Tonight's TV Picks: 'Damages' and 'Hit and Miss' Premieres, The ESPYs
The Glenn Close series begins its final season tonight on DirecTV, followed by the series premiere of the Chloe Sevigny-as-transexual-contract-killer drama.
If you have DirecTV, tonight's the night for the return of Damages, one of the most twisted, brain-challenging shows on the air. That's followed by the premiere of DirecTV's new drama Hit or Miss, starring Chloe Sevigny as Mia, a contract killer who becomes the guardian of her four children in rural Ireland. There's something else about Mia: she's a male-to-female transsexual. You have to love a story about a female contract killer so it sounds like it's worth sampling.
In a 180-degree turn, the versatile and very funny Rob Riggle (The Daily Show) hosts tonight's The ESPYs awards. Keep an eye out for Seth Meyers and Justin Timberlake to turn up as well as the usual crowd of sports stars.
CBS: 8p.m. Dogs in the City season finale.
NBC: 9p.m. New episode of America's Got Talent -- Gavin DeGraw will perform on tonight's show.
Fox: 8p.m. New episode of So You Think You Can Dance - the Top 20 dancers perform.
ABC Family: 9p.m. Beverly Hills Nannies series premiere.
It had to happen sometime. This new series follows a small group of male and female nannies who work for Beverly Hills families, caring for their kids and having some fun along the way.
BBC America: 10p.m. Inside Men
The third installment of the four-episode miniseries has the security men getting their hands on guns and planning the details of the big heist.
Bravo: 10p.m. Around the World in 80 Plates, 11p.m. Watch What Happens Live
On Around the World in 80 Plates, the cheftestants are in Argentina tackling South American cuisine. Immediately after, judges Cat Cora and Curtis Stone join Andy Cohen for the WWHL chatfest.
DirecTV: 9p.m. Damages season premiere, 10 p.m. Hit or Miss series premiere
E!: 10p.m. The Soup is all-new with the best in reality show clips and general TV nonsense.
Food: 10p.m. Restaurant: Impossible season premiere
MTV: 10p.m. The Real World: St. Thomas
Showtime: The Franchise season premiere - Season 2 focuses on a season with the Miami Marlins.
TLC: 9p.m. Toddlers & Tiaras summer season premiere - watch out for Kayla, a four year old known for her updated Shirley Temple look.
USA: 9p.m. Royal Pains, 10p.m. Necessary Roughness
