TV Ratings: ABC's 'Frozen' Special Can't Top 'NCIS' Repeat

NBC wins in the 18-49 demo, CBS tops viewers

ABC's Frozen special couldn't top CBS encores.

The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic (4.7 million, 1.1) failed to come out on top against its 8 p.m. competition on Tuesday, topped by CBS' NCIS repeat (10.3 million, 1.3) and tying NBC's summer series Food Fighters (4.5 million, 1.1). Here's a silver lining: The Frozen special did boost the time period for ABC by 18 percent compared to last year.

Following the Frozen special, ABC's Extreme Weight Loss (2.8 million, 0.8) dropped to a new series low.

NBC's America's Got Talent (8.9 million, 1.8) hit another low, dropping three-tenths from last week's comparable telecast.

NBC won the evening in adults 18-49 with a 1.5 average. CBS topped the night in viewers with 9.4 million in primetime.
