TV Ratings: 'The Amazing Race' Finale Dips, ABC Hallmark Special Does Well for Franchise
Sunday Night Football rises from last week's early numbers, locking another easy win for NBC, while "Christmas With Holly's" so-so demo showing is actually a "Hall of Fame" best.
Fast affiliate ratings for last night give Sunday Night Football a 6.9 rating with adults 18-49. That's a five percent jump from last week's early numbers which went on to a 7.4 adults rating in the final. NBC also had 90 minutes of Football Night in America, which pulled a 3.7 adults rating. The network led the night with a 5.7 adults rating overall and 15.9 million viewers.

Football overrun also kicked off the Fox schedule, which averaged a 5.2 adults rating during the 7 p.m. hour. The animation block resumed at 8 p.m., starting with The Simpsons (up one tenth from its last original for a 3.4 adults rating). Bob's Burger's was also up, rising three tenths of a point to a 2.1 adults rating, while Family Guy (2.8 adults) was off by just three percent. American Dad was up a tenth of a point from last week with a 2.2 adults rating. Fox averaged a 3.5 adults rating and 8.5 million viewers.
CBS had 60 Minutes (down 42 percent from last week with a 1.7 adults rating) followed by the two-hour finale of The Amazing Race. The episode averaged a steady 2.6 adults rating between 8 and 10 p.m., down a tenth of a point from the previous week and 21 percent from its last fall finale. The Mentalist (1.6 adults rating) was off 11 from its last original, giving CBS an average 2.2 adults rating for the night and 9.6 million viewers.

America's Funniest Home Videos was the only regularly scheduled ABC Sunday series to air last night, down two tenths of a point from last week for a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49. Holiday specials Disney Prep & Landing and Disney Prep & Landing: Naughty Versus Nice both pulled a 1.4 adults rating, while Hallmark Hall of Fame movie Christmas With Holly brought in a 1.8 adults rating. The number is hardly strong but outranks all previous Hall of Fame efforts for the network. ABC averaged a 1.6 rating in the demo and 6.7 million viewers.
Univision had a 1.4 adults rating for the night.
