TV Ratings: 'Bachelorette' Wins Monday With Steady Return
Summer is officially upon us. With less than a week in the official 2015-16 season remaining, off-season programming is starting to debut.
First up? The Bachelorette. The ABC reality show won Monday night, topping typical leader The Voice, with an average 2.1 rating among adults 18-49. That's dead even with the start of last summer's run. (On the comparable night last year, The Bachelorette was bested by both The Voice and Dancing With the Stars.) The show also pulled 6.7 million viewers during its two-hour return.
Coupled with Dancing With the Stars, improved to a 1.9 rating in the key demo, ABC won the night.
The Voice was steady with the previous Monday's 2.0 rating among adults 18-49, coming in just shy of The Bachelorette. Blindspot took a 1.3 rating in the key demo.
On CBS, a special primetime The Price Is Right took a respectable 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. The Odd Couple dropped significantly with the lead-in, however, averaging just 1.0 and 0.9 ratings with back-to-back episodes. Person of Interest also pulled a 0.9 rating in the key demo.
Fox had new outings of Gotham (1.2 adults) and Houdini and Doyle (0.6 adults), while the CW welcomed back Whose Line Is It Anyway? (back-to-back 0.4 ratings among adults 18-49) after a new Reign (0.3 adults).
