TV Ratings: 'Big Brother' Leads a Night of Interruptions
Preseason NFL and President Obama mean Thursday night's initial ratings are likely to go down.
There will likely be more than a few adjustments to Thursday's Fast Nationals. With preseason NFL affecting the Big Four in several markets and President Obama airing a 10-minute speech from the White House at 9:30 p.m. ET, several early numbers are likely inflated.
CBS saw delays in a whopping 22 percent of the country, so while the preliminary 2.7 rating among adults 18-49 for Big Brother is destined to go down, it will still win the night in the key demo.
NBC's offerings — renewed Welcome to Sweden (0.8 adults), Working the Engels (0.8 adults) and Last Comic Standing (1.2 adults) — all represented slight growth from last week's scores. The same can be said for Fox's Gang Related (0.9 adults).
Impending adjustments won't likely be very kind to ABC's The Quest (0.7 adults), whose slightly inflated score was flat with last week's soft debut. NY Med (0.9 adults) and Rookie Blue (1.0 adults), swapped time periods on the East Coast this week.
