TV Ratings: 'Black-ish' Grows and 'The Dovekeepers' Drops in Conclusion

The ABC comedy posts the most growth on Wednesday, while CBS' miniseries loses much of its audience.

ABC topped Wednesday night in the key demo, with Black-ish scoring some solid growth at 9:30 p.m. The comedy averaged a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49, up three-tenths of a point from last week. Modern Family (2.9 adults) was even after The Middle (1.7 adults) and The Goldbergs (1.9 adults) shed two-tenths of a point. Nashville (1.3 adults) was steady.

American Idol nabbed a flat 1.7 rating with adults 18-49 on Fox — topping CBS, which saw the second part of The Dovekeepers fizzle. The two-hour conclusion averaged a 0.9 rating in the key demo and 6.4 million viewers, shedding about a third of its Tuesday audience. Survivor (2.1 adults) started the night off down just two-tenths of a point.

Steady episodes of The Mysteries of Laura (1.0 adults) and Chicago P.D. (1.6 adults) book-ended a slightly boosted Law & Order: SVU (1.5 adults) on NBC. The drama rose two-tenths of a point.

On The CW, Arrow (0.8 adults) dropped two-tenths of a point from last week as well, ahead of a mostly steady Supernatural (0.6 adults).
