Leading the night among adults 18-49, NBC followed a steady outing of The Voice (2.9 adults) with a much-improved episode of Chicago Fire. Kicking off a crossover with its sister series, the Dick Wolf drama climbed 29 percent from last week for a 2.2 rating in the key demo.

And that was the only broadcast growth on Tuesday. Both NCIS (2.3 adults) and NCIS: New Orleans (2.0 adults) dropped three-tenths of a point on CBS, and Person of Interest (1.3 adults) fell four-tenths of a point for a live-plus-same day ratings low.

MasterChef Junior held even on Fox with last week's 1.8 rating among adults 18-49 for the premiere. Both New Girl (1.3 adults) and The Mindy Project (1.0 adults) dropped three-tenths of a point in the subsequent hour.

The recently-canceled Selfie matched last week's 0.9 rating in the key demo, but Agents of SHIELD (1.5 adults) dropped to a low after a repeat lead-in from Modern Family. Forever, now ordered for a full season, clocked a steady 1.0 rating among adults under 50.

The Flash continues to maintain steam on the CW, with a steady 1.4 rating in the key demo. Supernatural, which notched its 200th episode, was also steady with a 0.9 rating with adults 18-49.

UPDATE Nov. 12, 9:50 p.m.: A previous version of this article identified Chicago Fire as Chicago P.D.
