TV Ratings: 'Criminal Minds' Gets a Lift on Wednesday, Dipping 'Modern Family' Leads
CBS scores a win for the night against "American Idol," while "Nashville" and "Chicago P.D." also post gains.
CBS took Wednesday night, starting with a new episode of Survivor -- down a tick from last week for a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49. Criminal Minds (2.5 adults), up a solid three-tenths of a point, posted the night's biggest gain. And at 10 p.m., CSI (1.9 adults) dropped a tenth of a point. The network averaged a 2.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 9.9 million viewers.
Down a tenth of a point from last week's rating, American Idol averaged a 2.1 rating in the key demo. The two-hour episode also averaged 8.8 million viewers for Fox.
The Middle (1.9 adults) held even on ABC, and Suburgatory (1.6 adults) improved a tenth of a point from the previous week. Modern Family (3.2 adults) dropped four-tenths of a point but still topped the night. Mixology (1.6 adults) was also even, leading into a lifted Nashville (1.5 adults) -- up two-tenths of a point. ABC averaged a 1.9 adults rating and 5.98 million viewers.
Revolution (1.3 adults) was up a tenth of a point from its recent series low, whole Law & Order: SVU (1.7 adults) and Chicago P.D. (1.6 adults) each grew by two-tenths. NBC pulled in a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 5.3 million viewers over the course of the night.
Both Arrow (0.8 adults) and The 100 (0.6 adults) dropped a tenth of a point on the CW, with the network averaging a 0.7 rating and 2.1 million viewers over the two hours.
