Critics may not be checking in with Dr. Ken, but viewers seemed more than ready to sample the new comedy on Friday night. The new ABC half-hour was the night's highest-rated scripted telecast among adults 18-49.

After a new Last Man Standing, which averaged a 1.2 rating in the key demo, Dr. Ken grew on ABC for a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49 and a slightly bigger audience: 6.7 million viewers.

Coupled with a steady Shark Tank (1.7 adults) and a new 20/20 (1.1 adults), ABC easily led the night in adults 18-49.

Both Fox and NBC aired repeats of some of their new scripted series, but CBS aired all originals with The Amazing Race (1.2 adults), Hawaii Five-0 (1.0 adults) and Blue Bloods (1.2 adults).
