TV Ratings: Fox Wins Tuesday With 'Hell's Kitchen,' 'MasterChef'
NBC's "America's Got Talent" is the night's top-rated program; ABC's "Take the Money & Run" premieres.
Fox topped Tuesday ratings with Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef.
Hell's Kitchen (6.2 million total viewers, 2.6) was steady with last Tuesday's episode in the ad-coveted demo and up slightly in total viewers. The Gordon Ramsay-hosted competition show reached its highest tune-in this season and won its 8 p.m. time slot among 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54 demos. MasterChef (8 million, 1.4) dipped 4 percent, ranking No. 2 in 18-49 at 9 p.m. behind NBC's America's Got Talent. Though Talent outdrew MasterChef during that hour, Fox slipped by NBC to win the night in the demo by averaging a 2.5.
NBC's It's Worth What? (9.5 mlllion, 1.4) sank 14 percent, but it was Talent (11.6 million, 3.0) -- the highest-rated program of the night -- that gave Fox a run for its money. Talent, however, dipped 6 percent and was the lowest-rated Tuesday telecast this season so far. Even so, NBC was the most-watched network on Tuesday, averaging 9.3 million in primetime.
ABC's Wipeout (6.5 million, 2.0) improved 11 percent from its late June episode while the premiere of Take the Money and Run (5.1 million, 1.9) was steady from the premiere of Downfall last summer. Summer scripted drama Combat Hospital (3.8 million, 1.0) rose 11 percent from its last original.
CBS ran reruns of NCIS, NCIS: LA and 48 Hours Mystery. At 8 p.m., NCIS was the most-watched in the time period. The CW aired repeats of 90210 and Shedding for the Wedding.
