TV Ratings: 'The Following' Gets Post-Premiere Growth, 'Bones' Hits Season High
Facing no other original scripted content on the big four, both Fox dramas see boosts from the previous Monday.
Fox's The Following has some promising news in its second outing. Fast National returns have the freshman thriller up a tenth of a point from last week's premiere showing, giving it a 3.3 rating with adults 18-49. If the number sticks, it will be the only new series this season to grow in its second episode. Its lead-in, Bones, saw even more growth. The recently renewed drama was up three tenths of a point to a season high 2.6 rating with adults 18-49. The network won the night with adults 18-49 (2.9 rating) and total viewers (9.6 million).

A steady episode of The Bachelor (2.5 adults) led the night's unscripted offerings. With an encore of Castle at 10 p.m., ABC averaged a 2.1 adults rating and 7.2 million viewers for the night.
The Biggest Loser (2.3 adults) was off a tenth of a point from last week, though the series continues to perform better than last January. A steady Deception earned a 1.3 adults rating at 10 p.m. NBC averaged a 1.9 adults rating and 5.3 million viewers.
CBS' Monday block was in encores, giving the network a 1.7 rating with adults 18-49 and 6.8 million viewers.
On the CW, The Carrie Diaries (0.5 adults) was steady with last week, while 90210 (0.3 adults) dropped a tenth of a point. The network averaged a 0.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 1.1 million viewers.
Univision averaged a 1.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers.
