TV Ratings: Green Bay Packers-Atlanta Falcons Game Tops Sunday
NBC's "Sunday Night Football" game five is up 20% from last year.
Sunday Night Football topped the ratings for the fifth straight week.
The Green Bay Packers-Atlanta Falcons game (in which the undefeated Packers won 25-14) scored a 14.0 overnight rating. (Preliminary total viewers numbers will be available later Monday; national numbers will be released Tuesday.) The ratings were the best week 5 in the past six years.
It was up 20 percent from last year's week five game, in which the Philadelphia Eagles faced off to the San Francisco 49ers to an 11.7 rating in the key 18-40 demo (19 household rating), and up 30 percent from 2009's week 5 game, which saw the Colts-Titans rate a 10.8 in the demo and 17 in household.
Last season, Sunday Night Football won the 18 nights it aired.
