TV Ratings: Kennedy Center Honors Down from 2010, CBS and Univision Share Tuesday

The Washington arts event dropped a third of its showing among adults 18-49, while an repeat of "NCIS" and telenovela "Una Familia con Suerte" gave the networks a demo advantage over ABC.

With all Tuesday series still on hiatus, CBS' broadcast of the 34th annual Kennedy Center Honors was one of the only programs of note on Tuesday night. The two-hour kudos were down considerably from their most recent outing, but the network still managed a win among viewers (9.7 million) and adults 18-49 (a 1.4 rating) -- a victory it shared with Univision.

Averaging a 1.1 rating in 18-49-year-olds between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., the Kennedy Center Honors lost nearly a third of its previous years' audience (1.5 rating) -- despite 2010 having stiffer competition from the NFL, which had a snow-delayed game on Tuesday this week last year. CBS had the night's strongest performer in repeat of NCIS.

Univision, enjoying a red letter week, tied CBS' demo win with a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 as well. Telenovela Una Familia con Suerte ("A Family With Luck") averaged a 1.7 over its two-hour broadcast.

Repeats of comedies Last Man Standing, The Middle and Suburgatory, as well as an encore of Body of Proof, gave ABC an easy second place for the night with a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers.

A Biggest Loser "Where Are They Now?" special and a repeat of Parenthood put NBC tied for third with Fox, which aired encores of its regular Tuesday line-up. Both nets averaged a 0.8 rating in the key demo.

The CW rounded out the evening with an airing of the film Keith, which averaged a 0.3 among adults 18-49.
