TV Ratings: 'The Mentalist' Returns, 'Resurrection' Drops Low
Complete Sunday Night Football ratings won't come until later Monday afternoon, but the NBC telecast easily capped off a strong Thanksgiving weekend for the NFL. The Broncos-Chiefs match-up was still down from the early score for last week's game, averaging a preliminary 6.3 rating among adults 18-49.
CBS' football overage helped drive its evening, likely inflating some telecasts. After 60 Minutes (3.7 adults), Madam Secretary (1.9 adults) improved three-tenths of a point. The season premiere of The Mentalist staged an even return with a 1.6 rating in the key demo in The Good Wife's typical spot, while CSI (1.4 adults) held even.
Once Upon a Time (2.0 adults) topped scripted series for the night but was off four-tenths of a point from its last original outing two weeks ago. Resurrection stumbled at 9 p.m., dropping four-tenths of a point to a series low 0.8 rating among adults 18-49. Revenge was in similarly dangerous territory, averaging just a 1.0 adults rating (off half of a point) for a series low of its own in live-plus-same-day returns.
Mulaney (0.6 adults), steady and low, started the night for Fox — which also saw even outings of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1.4 adults) and Bob's Burgers (1.0 adults).
