TV Ratings: NBC's 'Night Shift' Checks in for Season Highs

Nothing on Thursday approaches 'Big Brother.'

Thursday has been the busiest night of the summer schedule by far. And, with the exception of CBS' Big Brother, the entire lineup seems to be pretty evenly matched.

Big Brother, with its even 1.9 rating among adults 18-49, followed the only repeats of the night. At 10 o'clock, CBS put out a slightly lifted episode of Zoo (0.6 adults) — but Big Brother alone was enough to win the night in the key demo and total viewers for the network.

Hollywood Game Night also saw some mild improvement on NBC, averaging a 0.9 rating in the key demo before a new episode of The Wall (1.0 adults). Lifts for drama The Night Shift brought season highs with both adults 18-49 (a 0.8 rating) and total viewers (4.5 million).

Beat Shazam (0.8 adults) held on Fox, while Love Connection (0.6 adults) was off a tick from the prior week. It still allowed Fox to narrowly beat ABC for the night, with Boy Band (0.5 adults), Battle of the Network Stars (0.6 adults) and The Gong Show (0.6 adults) all steady.

The CW put out a new Hooten & the Lady, which fetched another 0.2 rating among adults 18-49.
