TV Ratings: NBC's Pre-Season Football Tackles ABC, CBS for Sunday Night Win
There was an estimated audience of 4.2 million people who tuned in to see the New Orleans Saints defeat the Oakland Raiders.
NBC proved victorious in the Sunday night ratings, with an entire evening dedicated to Week 3 of the NFL pre-season. The New Orleans Saints ultimately defeated the Oakland Raiders on their home turf, 40-20. As a result of the lives sports broadcast, NBC's fast affiliate ratings are approximate and may adjust slightly.
ABC edged out CBS by a nose to claim the No. 2 position, earning 1.5 and 1.4 of the 18-49 demo respectively. On the ABC lineup were repeats of America's Funniest Home Videos, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and a brand new episode of 20/20: The Sixth Sense. As for CBS, 60 Minutes and Big Brother led in to re-runs of The Good Wife and CSI Miami.
Fox trails in last place, with In the Flow with Affion Crockett continuing to fall from last week's 1.2 to 1.1.
