TV Ratings: Fox's 'New Girl' and 'Glee' Share Slow Tuesday Win With CBS
Festive offerings from the Fox comedies were each down three percent from last week's lows among adults 18-49, with the night's biggest drop going to Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing," down 19 percent in the demo for a series low.
Fox and CBS shared a relatively uneventful December Tuesday last night, each earning a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49.
As was the case with most original episodes last night, Glee and New Girl both were both down to their season low. Each dropped three percent among adults 18-49, for respective 2.9 and 3.3 ratings. Raising Hope saw a five percent boost in the demo, finishing Fox's night with a 2.3.
On CBS, the shared win among adults 18-49 was eclipsed by a handed victory among total viewers. The network averaged 15.5 million, with 9:00 p.m. offering of NCIS: LA earning its largest audience since the season premiere. NCIS topped all other shows among adults 18-49, earning a 3.5, followed by NCIS: LA (3.0) and Unforgettable (2.1). The latter was down 5 percent for a season low.
NBC came in third, with a 2.2 for the night. The curiously-timed William & Kate: Inside the Royal Marriage special netted a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49, before a two-hour block of The Biggest Loser finale averaged a 2.3 in the demo, its best showing of the season.
ABC had one lone new offering for the night, the 8:00 p.m. broadcast of Last Man Standing. It earned a 2.2 among adults 18-49, down a whopping 19 percent from last week for a new series low. Repeats of Last Man Standing, The Middle, Suburgatory and Body of Proof gave ABC a 1.5 for the night.
90210 and Ringer were also reruns for the CW, giving the network a 0.3 for the night.
