TV Ratings: NFL Pre-Season Game Scores Win for NBC

ABC’s debut of "20/20: The Sixth Sense" earned a summer-high for the network as the most-watched non-sports program.

NBC won Sunday night with a strong lead-in from Dateline followed by the NFL Pre-Season game, in which the Chargers defeated the Cowboys. As a result of the live sports broadcast, NBC’s fast affiliate ratings are approximate and may slightly adjust later.

CBS came in second, with Big Brother up from last week. The reality program earned 3.3 in the key 18-49 demo.

ABC’s debut of 20/20: The Sixth Sense surged over its lead-in as the most-watched non-sports program in its 2-hour time period. The newsmagazine increased 25% in total viewers and 27% in adults 18-49 from repeats of America’s Funniest Home Videos and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

In fourth, Fox’s In the Flow With Affion Crockett was down from last week’s soft premiere with 1.2.
