TV Ratings: 'Nikita' Rises, 'A Gifted Man' Steady
CBS and ABC tied for the Friday victory, both networks averaging a 1.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.
CBS' A Gifted Man (8.6 million total viewers, 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 demographic) improved nearly 1 million in total viewers compared to the previous week, but maintained its demo rating. What's interesting to note is that in its final half-hour, the hourlong medical drama starring Patrick Wilson jumped 1 million viewers, from 8.1 million to 9.2 million.
With the network likely to give full orders to Unforgettable and Person the Interest, the jury is quieter on A Gifted Man. CSI: NY (10.7 million, 1.8) rose a tenth (winning its 9 p.m. period), while Blue Bloods (10.8 million, 1.7) went the other way.
ABC debuted Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (5.6 million, 1.4) in its new Friday home, followed by 20/20 (7.6 million, 2.1) -- the latter winning its 10 p.m. time period.
The CW's Nikita (1.7 million, 0.6) improved for its latest episode, but the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion with Charisma Carpenter and James Masters didn't boost Supernatural (1.8 million, 0.7) ratings.
Fox aired an original Kitchen Nightmares (3.5 million, 1.4), which won at 8 p.m., but decided to repeat Fringe (1.7 million, 0.5). NBC aired repeats of The Office, Parks and Recreation before Dateline (4.1 million, 1.0).
