TV Ratings: Fox and NBC Share the Demo, 'America's Got Talent' Rises
Reality dominates Monday originals as the Olympic trials continue and ABC's 'Glass House' dips from soft premiere.
Fox and NBC split a victory among adults 18-49 on Monday night with a 2.3 rating in the key demo.
Kicking off the night with more Olympic trials, NBC also pulled in the night's strongest showing among total viewers -- an average 7.8 million. The trials, swimming finals, were up from Sunday's primetime debut and posted a 1.9 adults rating. America's Got Talent was also up a tenth of a point from last week, earning a dominant 3.0 rating among adults 18-49. American Ninja Warrior was flat with a 2.0 in the demo.
Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef, which both saw slight drops in the demo from last Monday, averaged 5.4 million viewers for the night. Respectively, they pulled a 2.3 and a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49.
On ABC, which netted a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating and 5.75 million viewers, The Bachelorette was down a tenth of a point in the demo for a 2.2 adults rating. The embattled Glass House sunk from its poor premiere showing, falling 20 percent to just a 1.2 rating with 18-49-ers.
Univision edged out CBS in the demo, averaging a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49 for the night. CBS, which had a three-hour block or repeats, pulled a 1.2 in the demo and 5.2 million viewers.
The CW, also in encores, posted a 0.1 rating with adults 18-49 and 385,000 viewers.
