TV Ratings: 'Once Upon a Time,' Fox Cartoons Grow Against Football
The Giants and the Packers see boosted returns on NBC, while some competition get an advantageous NFL lead of their own.
Nielsen returns from Sunday night show NBC's Sunday Night Football again dominating the competition with a 6.7 rating among adults 18-49, up 12 percent from the previous week's preliminary scores. A 90-minute Football Night in America (3.3 adults rating) led into the game between the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers, giving the Peacock an average 5.5 adults rating and 15.3 million viewers for the night.

Fox saw a significant boost thanks to NFL overrun (6.7 rating with adults 18-49) and The OT (5.3 adults rating), pushing the network to a 3.7 rating with 18-49-ers and 9.2 million viewers for the night. All subsequent originals from the animation block -- The Simpsons (3.3 in adults), Bob's Burgers (2.0), Family Guy (2.8), The Cleveland Show (1.9) -- were up from last week, though their scores are subject to change after time-zone adjustments are taken into consideration.
NFL overrun also might have impacted CBS' final scores for the night. According to fast nationals, 60 Minutes pulled a 2.2 adults rating, The Amazing Race was up a tenth of a point to a 2.5 among adults, The Good Wife was even with a 1.7 in the demo, and The Mentalist jumped 29 percent to a 1.8 among 18-49-ers. CBS averaged a 2.1 adults rating and 10.5 million viewers.

ABC's Sunday lineup was intact after last week's pre-emption for the American Music Awards. It started with a steady America's Funniest Home Videos (1.6 adults rating) before a boosted Once Upon a Time (up 11 percent to a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49). Revenge was down to a season-low 2.2 rating with 18-49-ers, while 666 Park Avenue was steady with a 1.2 in the demo. The network averaged a 2.0 adults rating and 6.5 million viewers for the night.
Univision pulled a 0.7 adults rating for the night.
