A night of season enders sees many improve, though CBS' yet-to-be-renewed "Crazy Ones" goes out on a low note.

It should come as no surprise that Scandal went out on a high note -- and without a new Big Bang Theory, it ranked as Thursday's top show. The ABC drama ended its abbreviated season on Thursday night with its biggest ender to date: the top demo rating for a Big Four 10 p.m. drama since October.

Scandal earned a 3.4 rating among adults 18-49, up four-tenths of a point from last week. Lead-in Grey's Anatomy (2.5 adults) was mostly steady, down just a tenth, giving ABC a 2.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 7.32 million viewers for the night.

Hell's Kitchen (1.7 adults) jumped three-tenths of a point on Fox, while American Idol (1.9 adults) improved a tenth. Surviving Jack (1.0 adults) fell two-tenths, giving Fox an average 1.6 rating and 5.5 million viewers.

The Crazy Ones, which did not have any original comedy lead-ins, wrapped its freshman season on a low note. The yet-to-be-renewed drama averaged a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49, off two-tenths of a point. CBS took a 1.6 rating and 7.37 million viewers for the night.

The season finale of Community (1.0 adults) was up a tenth of a point, while Parks and Recreation (0.9 adults) fell by the same measure. Parenthood (1.3 adults) improved two-tenths for its season finale. NBC averaged a 1.0 adults rating and 3.3 million viewers.

The Vampire Diaries (0.7 adults) fell a tenth from its most recent score, ahead of an even Reign (0.4 adults).
