TV Ratings: 'Suburgatory' Finale Dips, 'Idol' Inches Up, 'Survivor' Steady
ABC's "How to Live With Your Parents" also faces its first big test, airing without the benefit of a lead-in from an original "Modern Family."
Fast National returns for Wednesday night give an easy win to Fox and American Idol. The series, averaging a 3.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 12.4 million viewers, was up by a tenth of a point and 200,000 from last week's finals.
Survivor (2.6 adults), even with last week, was the only original on CBS. Encores of Criminal Minds and Elementary followed, giving the network a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 7.7 million viewers.

The two-part season finale of Suburgatory (1.5 and 1.7 adults) was down from last week. The ABC comedy's 8 p.m. showing dropped three tenths of a point from its most recent episode, tying a series low, while the 8:30 p.m. episode was down by only a tenth of a point. An encore of Modern Family gave How to Live With Your Parents (2.0 adults) its smallest lead to date, and the freshman fell half of a point in the process. An encore of Nashville finished the night, giving ABC an average 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers.
A steady Dateline (1.2 adults) led into encores of Law & Order: SVU and Chicago Fire on NBC. The network averaged a 1.1 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers.
Repeats of Arrow and Supernatural averaged a 0.5 rating with 18-49-ers and 1.6 million viewers on the CW.
Univision pulled a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers.
