Good news for the NFL: After playing second fiddle to baseball for the last two weeks, Sunday brought a spike for the league's flagship game.

Metered Market ratings for Sunday Night Football give the NBC telecast a 11.7 rating among households, the highest its gone in six weeks and better than any other primetime showing from the NFL for the month of October.

That secured an easy win for NBC, even though CBS had an especially competitive start to the night thanks to NFL overrun of its own. After nearly an hour's worth of delay, 60 Minutes jumped to a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49. NCIS: Los Angeles (1.3 adults), Madam Secretary (0.9 adults) and Elementary (0.6 adults) were steady with previous episodes.

On Fox, The Simpsons led with a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 after a new Bob's Burgers (1.0 adults). Son of Zorn (0.9 adults), Family Guy (1.2 adults) and The Last Man on Earth (0.9 adults) followed.

Elsewhere, ABC saw a rebound for Once Upon a Time. The drama rose to a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. Secrets and Lies and Quantico held flat, each averaging a 0.6 rating in the key demo.
