TV Ratings: CBS Tops Tuesday, 'Work It' Sinks and 'Parenthood' Rises
The line-up of original "NCIS" and its "LA" spin-off easily win the night, while NBC posts gains and ABC's new comedy drops 20 percent.
CBS, the only network with three hours of original scripted programming on Tuesday, easily won the night, nabbing a 3.2 rating among adults 18-49 and an average 16.3 million viewers.
NCIS started the night with the strongest showing of any broadcast, a 4.1 rating in the key demo, followed by NCIS:LA (3.4) and Unforgettable (2.2).
NBC continued to top ABC on Tuesday with the new season of The Biggest Loser, which grew to a 2.4 rating in adults 18-49 over its two-hour broadcast, followed by a slightly buoyed Parenthood, up 6 percent to a 1.8 in the demo. The networked averaged a 2.2 rating in 18-49-ers for the night, with 6.04 million viewers.

With 6.2 million viewers, ABC just managed to edge out NBC in audience, but lost the demo with a 1.9 for the night. Last Man Standing was down two tenths of a point for a 2.2 rating in adults 18-49, while the second outing of Work It lost 20 percent of its modest debut, bringing in a 1.6 in the demo. Celebrity Wife Swap (2.1) and an even Body of Proof (1.6) rounded out the night.
Fox aired repeats of its Tuesday line-up, bringing in a 1.1 rating among 18-49-year-olds and 3.1 million viewers, while a movie, Table for Three, gave the CW a 0.3 and 673,000.
